Notice of Virginia State USBC 2011 Jamboree and Workshop

2011 JAMBOREE / WORKSHOP

Our Jamboree/ Workshop, hosted by Central Shenandoah Valley USBC, will be held at the Staunton Fraternal Order of Eagles, located at 225 Old Greenville Road, in Staunton, VA.

The Central Shenandoah Valley USBC has arranged for a “Captain’s Choice Golf Tournament”, on Friday, September 16, at the Ingleside Resort in Staunton, VA. Immediately following the meeting, there will be a bowling tournament at Valley Lanes in Harrisonburg, VA, for delegates and guests.

Check-in on Saturday will be from 10:30 – 11:30. Lunch will be served at 11:30 – 12:30. Following lunch, Mr. Jim Zebehazy from USBC, will be speaking to the delegation. Our Hall of Fame function will be held on Saturday evening at the Staunton Eagles, beginning with a social from 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM followed by dinner and inductions. The cost for the dinner is $15.00 per person.

This year’s inductees are:

Judith A. Edwards, from Rockville, MD, for Meritorious Service, and Watson E. Louis, JR, from Richmond, VA, for bowling achievement.

The host hotel is the Best Western Staunton Inn, 92 Rowe Road (just off I-81, Exit 222), in Staunton. For overnight arrangements please call (540) 885-1112 and mention that you are with the VA State Bowling. The room rate is $69.00 plus tax per night. The cut-off date to get this rate is September 2, 2011.

There will be a business meeting on Sunday, September 19th, at 9:00 AM. Registration for the meeting will be from 8:00 – 9:00 AM. This meeting is not expected to run past 12:00 Noon.
