Jimmy Thompson

Jimmy Thompson, 78, of Botetourt County, Va., has reunited with departed family and friends, his dog, Bella, and all the other pets he loved on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. He was a United States Navy Veteran of The Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Paula; son, Danny (Angie); his grandkids, Taryn and Brayden; and pups, Joy and Buster. He also leaves several cousins and many golfing and bowling buddies.

Jimmy was a kind, funny man who never met a stranger and loved all animals. He said when he arrived in Heaven, he was going to find Bella and talk to everyone there. He loved his life on his own terms in spite of the cancer that invaded his body.

The family extends thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice and nurse, Lila, and all the family and friends who touched his life.
