
Ronald Ray Ferguson, 82 of Roanoke, Virginia passed away surrounded by family on November 25th, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Cheyenne Ferguson, his sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Don Gillispie, his brother Fred Ferguson, his daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Nathan Wheeling, his son Todd Ferguson; daughter-in-law Brooke Ferguson and his granddaughters Breanna Wheeling and Mackenzie Ferguson. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Bertha and Henry Ferguson, his sisters Betty and Mildred, and his brother, Henry Jr. He was married to his wife, Cheyenne, for 61 blessed years.
Ronald was born in Roanoke, Virginia on December 6th, 1939. He spent his life working as a mechanic for several businesses, including his own family business, Ferguson Brothers’ Garage, along with Malone & Hyde and Thermo King, before settling into a long retirement doing the things he loved with the people he loved. He loved fishing, bowling for years at All Star Bowling, woodworking, gardening, and playing cards. He spent many years supporting his family, attending his son’s traveling softball games and cheering on his granddaughter, Mackenzie’s softball games. He cherished his long conversations on current events and technology with his granddaughter, Breanna. He took many deep-sea fishing trips with his family and friends. He was a man that loved and spoke with his whole heart and put all of himself in what he did.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their care and comfort for the past two months.
