William ‘Bill’ Brewster Jr., 86, of Roanoke, Va., passed peacefully in his home on Friday, May 5, 2023.
He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Brewster.
Bill served in the United States Army. He worked for many years roofing the Roanoke Valley owning his own business, B&C Roofing, until he retired. Bill loved golf, bowling, and fishing and playing the lottery, always hoping to win the Big One!! He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, and papaw who loved his family very much and told us every day.
Surviving are his sons, Terry Brewster and wife, Brenda, and Mitchell “Ray” Brewster and wife, Tammy; and daughters, Sherry Whitehead and her husband, James “Jim,” and Katina Eckles and friend, Rodney Quesenberry. He also had 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; as well as a nephew, Jerry Paul; and niece, Nancy Stephens in Raleigh N.C. Also surviving are his extended family, Isobel Bikulege and family, and his friend and coffee buddy, Larry McGlothlin.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Good Samaritan Hospice staff, Callie, Cheyenne, Tammy, and Rhana, who made dad’s days brighter.
