Any graduating high school senior is eligible to apply for the Blake Harrison Memorial Star of Tomorrow Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to one female and one male and are renewable for an additional three years if the required GPA is met. The award amounts, renewals and the number of scholarships awarded each year are given at the discretion of the Board of Trustees. The applicants must have unimpaired amateur standing in all athletics and be a member of a league certified in the State of Virginia by the USBC in good standing for the current season. New Records Set
Bowling in the Hoppy Hopkins League tonight at Lee-Hi Lanes, Kevin Felvus broke both the house and GRAUSBC high series records with games of 289-277-300 for a fantastic 866 set. The previous house record was 853 shot by Joe Baxter on 12/30/2009 and the previous GRAUSBC record was 857 shot by Kenny Keziah on 9/24/2001 at Vinton Bowling Center. CONGRATULATIONS KEVIN!
First 700 for Brian Hartman
On Tuesday October 12, Brian Hartman rolled his first ever 700 series (726) while bowling in the Happy Bunch League at AMF Hilltop Lanes. Congratulations Brian!
First 800 for Joe Purpura
Bowling in the Hoppy Hopkins League on October 12, 2010 at Lee-Hi Lanes, Joe Purpura had games of 300, 264 and 276 for an 840 series (13 pins shy of the house record). Not too shabby for his first 800 series! Congratulations Joe!
