Alma Johnson


Alma F. Johnson, 87, of Bluffton, S.C., passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2009. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gustave Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was an avid bowler for over 50 years and worked at Lee-Hi Lanes for over 20 years. In March of 2004, she was inducted into the Roanoke Valley Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara McNulty and husband, William, of Bluffton, S.C., and Gerri Edery and husband, Michael, of Easton, Pa.; grandchildren, Tracy Thornton, of Antioch, Ill., John McNulty, of Palatine, Ill., Christine Todd, of New York, N.Y., Marc Maniscalco, of Great Neck, N.Y., and Sarah Edery Altas, of Astoria, N.Y.; and great-grandchildren, Donald, Keith and Will Thornton, Benjamin, Michael, and Julia Todd.
