Betty Jo (Granny) Williams, 81 of New Castle, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 9, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband B.D. Williams; infant son David Byron Williams; and parents Quentin and Alice Thomas. Betty was the General Registrar of Craig County for 28 years. She was a longtime member and past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, and an active member of Grace Baptist Church. She also bowled for over 50 years.

She is survived by daughter, Alice Butcher and Don Lynch; son, Richard Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Warren and Dan; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Williams and Kitten; nine grandchildren, Greg Bostic, Blaine Butcher (Stefanie), Caroline Grady (Joe), Maggie Williams, Steven Greenway (Megan), Jamie Greenway, Melanie Huffman, Julie Ponton, and Bubby Ponton (Angie); 10 great-grandchildren, Isabella Butcher, Joseph Grady, Hayley Howard, Madie Greenway, Cameron Wright, Alex Drake, Ava Greenway, Alaina Ponton, Gracie Huffman, and Hunter Ponton; special nephew and niece, Larry and Joanne Piner; special friends, Barbara and Donnie Grimm, Lloyd and Betty Mullins, Mike Hanley, and Eddie Martin.
