Bobby Edward Lugar, 79, of Vinton, Va., departed this life Monday, January 17, 2011. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 60 years, Agnes M. Bratton; parents, Angus C. Lugar and Wilma I. Lawson; brother, Boyd Lugar; and a brother-in-law, Frank Phlegar. He was a Korean War Veteran that served with the United States Navy and retired from Safety Kleen Corp. as Branch Manager, was a very active man and he loved to fish, golf, bowl, collect trains and travel. He was also a sandlot football coach for many years and loved the Texas Tavern. Surviving are his three sons, Steve and wife, Becky, Danny and wife, Mary, Kirk and wife, Jill; daughter, Judy; grandchildren, Russell, Stefanie, Tamara, Kimberly, Kara, Ashley, Mandy, Kirsten, Brianna; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Jacob, Hayate, Danielle, Akashi, Dylan; brother, Jerry Lugar and wife, Gloria; sister, Frances Phlegar; along with many other relatives and friends.
