Margaret Elizabeth Donald Synan, 89, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with her Lord on Monday afternoon, September 20, 2010. Margaret was a lifelong member of Cave Spring United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Housewives Bowling League for many years. Margaret loved her family and enjoyed being with her friends at the Ogden Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lacy and Beulah Donald; and her husband, John William Synan. She is survived by her son, Thomas E. Synan and wife, Cynthia, of McKinney, Texas; her daughter, June Synan Barnett Hash, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Danielle Smith and husband Jeff, Heather Woolverton and husband, Wade “Deuce,” Brandon Synan, Leigh Barnett, and Chance Barnett and wife, Heather; her greatgrandchildren, Erin and Jack Smith, Wade “Trey” Woolverton III, and Connor and Raven Synan; sister, Louise Sorrells, of Lexington; also numerous nieces and nephews.
