Michael “Mike” Eckles, 67 of Roanoke, passed away tragically on Friday, July 1, 2022. Mike was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Teena Eckles; father, Kenneth Eckles; mother, Geneva Eckles; and sister, Susan Eckles. Surviving are his wife, Katina Eckles; daughter, Hilarie Akers; stepson, Nathan St. Clair; brother, Buddy Eckles; nephew, Donald Eckles; niece, Kristina Eckles; and four grandchildren, Ezra, Carlee, Clover, and Oleander. Mike worked 49 years at MDCI as a machinist/supervisor. He was an accomplished bowler, organizing many leagues and directing numerous tournaments. Mike was a former local and state bowling board member as well as past president. He was proud to have been inducted into the Greater Roanoke Valley USBC Hall of Fame.
