Millard “Eddie” Morgan, 87, of Salem, reunited with his loving wife of 62 years, Arbutus Jane Morgan, on Friday, May 21, 2021, from Lewis-Gale Medical Center, in Salem. He was born on March 6, 1934, in Greenbrier Co., W.Va., son of the late Millard Oat and Macie Glenna Morgan.

To those who knew Eddie best, he will be remembered as a truly remarkable person. He would absolutely give you the last shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. He proudly served his country in the US Army and after a career with GMAC, he was able to retire. Eddie was a known sportsman and he found time for the things he enjoyed the most after retiring. You may have found him bowling, fishing with his brothers, or his favorite pass time of all, on the golf course. He was even nominated by his friends and colleagues for sportsman of the year. He was simply a great, great man. To his daughter Terri, Eddie was her hero! His love of family and friends alike were genuinely like no other. In addition to his wife and parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Morgan; and sisters, Jeanie Nickells and Glenna Matthews, and husband, Frank.

Family remaining to cherish his memory includes his daughter, Terri Richardson (James); son, Scott Morgan, all of New Castle, Va.; brothers, Mark Morgan and Bobby Morgan (Susie), all of Greenbrier Co. Va., and William “Billy” Morgan, of Danville, Va.; sister, Relda Surgeon of Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
