Patricia Burroughs (Pat) Cox, 77, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 28, 2015. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jan Ponkey.

Pat was an avid bowler, so much so that she served as league secretary for two different leagues for a period of sixteen years. In addition to her responsibilities as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she worked for six years as a fitness instructor at Mona’s Silhouette.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, James R. “Jim” Cox; daughter, Karen Willis and husband Sid; grandchildren, Andrea Fleming and husband Keith, Jake Willis and wife Danielle; numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the March of Dimes.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends following the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory, 540-366-0707
