Robert Watson (Bob) Wheeler, 82, of Salem, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 after a courageous fight from heart disease. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, C.E. and Mary Etta Wheeler; brother, David Wheeler; and sister, Julia Chivily.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Craig Holland Wheeler; daughter, Nancy Hack and husband Mike; son, Robert “Rob” Wheeler; grandchildren, Daniel Hack and wife, Karin Hack, and Matthew Poff; great-grandchildren, Evan Hack and Vivian Hack; and a brother, Charles Wheeler.

Bob was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salem where he was the treasurer for both the church and St. Anne’s Episcopal Day School. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Bob was also an avid sports fan who enjoyed bridge and bowling.
