Robert William (Bill) Sheaff Sr., 85, of Vinton, Va., passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2010. He was the son of the late James and Mary Sheaff. He was retired from Appalachian Power Company and was a veteran of World War II. He served in the army and was an infantry soldier in the 399th Infantry, 100th Division. He was a member of the Vinton Lions Club. He was an active bowler and Boy Scout leader. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jackie T. Sheaff; son and daughterin-law, Robert (Bob) Sheaff Jr. and Pennee; grandchildren, Amie Sheaff, Jennifer Turner and husband, John, and Matthew Sheaff; and greatgrandchildren, Nicholas, Abby, Madeline, and Piper.
