The 2014 Virginia State Women’s, Open and Youth tournaments are out for bids. Starting with the 2012 Seniors and other tournaments in 2013, all participants will be allowed to enter scratch all-events without the entire team being entered in scratch team event. This will allow bowlers to bowl scratch singles and doubles, handicap team and scratch all events.

2012 Virginia State Tournament Standings
This is just a reminder that standings for both the Virginia State 2012 Open Handicap and the Virginia State 2012 Women’s Handicap Tournaments are available from the Virginia State USBC website and under our Standings page. No bowling was scheduled for the Women’s side the weekend of May 5/6 due to JMU graduation, and there is no bowling for the Open side the weekends of May 12/13 due to VT graduation or May 19/20 due to the State Annual Meeting.

Virginia State USBC 2012 Senior Tournament
Now is the time to plan for the annual Virginia State Senior Tournament! The host bowling center for 2012 is the NRV Superbowl in Christiansburg, Virginia. The main events are the Open and Women’s Doubles & Singles events. Back by popular demand is the special Mixed Team event (does not count towards tournament all-events). New this year is an optional Scratch All-Events and a drop in age limit to 50 years (new classification for ages 50-54). Mail your entries early to get your desired shift(s)! Entry forms are available on our FORMS page; deadline is Friday, September 14, 2012.
