Five local area youth bowlers qualified for the 2013 North Pointe Junior Gold Championships this year. Ben Preece (Rocky Mount Bowling Center), Logan Waldron (Lee-Hi Lanes), James Mabry (NRV Superbowl), Lilly Shell (NRV Superbowl) and Cayla Hicks (NRV Superbowl) competed on WTBA oil patterns during the week of July 15-19, 2013. Ben Preece, Logan Waldron and James Mabry all participated in the U20 boys division (1024 entries), Lilly Shell was in the U20 girls division (573 entries) and Cayla Hicks bowled in the U15 girls division (169 entries). Congratulations to all five bowlers on their accomplishments, with special recognition to Cayla, who made it all the way through to Round 4 of double-elimination match play and won a $1400 scholarship on Friday. Great bowling!

The 2013 GRAUSBC Annual Hall of Fame Dinner will be held on March 16 at The Woodland Place in Vinton, from 6:00pm – 10:00am. Dinner will be served at 6:45pm. Tickets are $20.00 (BYOB) and can be purchased from any GRAUSBC board member. The inductees this year are:
