National 600 Club 2014 Mail-O-Graphic Tournament

The National 600 Bowling Club, Inc. is conducting a mail-o-graphic singles tournament for its members. This tournament will be held beginning January 26 through February 15, 2014. Copies of the entry form, score verification form and tournament rules are available on the National 600 Bowling Club website and under our Forms page.

There are two forms to be used. The entry form with entry fee(s) must be returned postmarked no later than January 18, 2014. League scores for the dates of January 26 through February 15, 2014 will be used. You may enter in each league that you are a member, however, entrant may cash only once in each division entered. The score verification form must be returned postmarked no later than March 1, 2014. Please remember to include a copy of your league recap sheet with current average and signed verification form.

An Incentive award will be given to the State 600 Club and Local 600 Club with the most entries in the tournament. Please specify what 600 Club you belong to. If you do not have a local 600 club please use your local association. We are challenging each of you to bring in at least one new entrant to our Mail-O-Graphic Tournament. Remember they must be a member of the National 600 Club.

The entry fee is $10.00 PER ENTRY: Prize fund $7.00 and $3.00 for expenses.  The prize fund will be returned 100%.  Checks should be made payable to National 600 Bowling Club, Inc. Results will be posted on the website: www.national600.com  If you would like a copy please send a stamped self addressed envelope along with your scores.

Rocky Mount Bowling Center’s First Female 300; AMF Hilltop Lanes High Female Series Tied

Kaye Richardson became only the fifth female in the Greater Roanoke Area USBC Association to shoot a perfect game on Monday, December 9, 2013. Bowling in the Bill Greer’s Computer Service Women’s League at Rocky Mount Bowling Center in Rocky Mount, Virginia, Kaye had games of 200, 235 and 300 for a 735 series.

Also on Monday night, Kathy Taylor tied the AMF Hilltop Lanes house record for Female Series. Bowling in the Monday Night Mixed League, Kathy shot games of 289-218-265 for a 772 set.

Congratulations to both Kaye and Kathy for some fantastic bowling!

4th GRAUSBC Woman Rolls 300, Sets New House Record

Sheila Hicks became only the fourth female in the Greater Roanoke Area USBC Association to shoot a perfect game on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Bowling in the Bowling Green League at AMF Hilltop Lanes in Roanoke, Virginia, Sheila had games of 235, 237 and 300 for a 772 series. This also set a new house record; the old record of 769, set in October of 2012, had been held by Kathy Taylor. The other three GRAUSBC females that have rolled 300 games are Christal Schaeffer (9/30/2012), Kathy Taylor (10/27/2006) and Laurie Zirkle (3/1/2012, 1/26/2006).
