The Greater Roanoke Area, Lynchburg Area and New River Valley USBC Associations are combining forces to bring you the First Annual Three-Association Open Championship Tournament. The format is Doubles & Singles; bowlers must participate in both. The first event will be held the weekends of December 5/6 and 12/13, 2015 at the Vinton Bowling Center. Entry forms are available at the bowling centers and under our Forms page. The Singles Event will be divided into an Open and a Women’s Division. Two women bowling together will automatically be entered in the Women’s Doubles. Please read the rules on the second page of the entry form. Information for the 2014-2015 USBC Pepsi Youth Championships is now available on the Virginia State USBC website. Please make sure to read over the cover letter, rules and format information (available under the VASTATEUSBC Youth Page) very carefully. The February window is January 18 – January 31, 2015. The National 600 Bowling Club, Inc. is conducting a mail-o-graphic singles tournament for its members. This tournament will be held beginning January 26 through February 15, 2014. Copies of the entry form, score verification form and tournament rules are available on the National 600 Bowling Club website and under our Forms page.
There are two forms to be used. The entry form with entry fee(s) must be returned postmarked no later than January 18, 2014. League scores for the dates of January 26 through February 15, 2014 will be used. You may enter in each league that you are a member, however, entrant may cash only once in each division entered. The score verification form must be returned postmarked no later than March 1, 2014. Please remember to include a copy of your league recap sheet with current average and signed verification form.
An Incentive award will be given to the State 600 Club and Local 600 Club with the most entries in the tournament. Please specify what 600 Club you belong to. If you do not have a local 600 club please use your local association. We are challenging each of you to bring in at least one new entrant to our Mail-O-Graphic Tournament. Remember they must be a member of the National 600 Club.
The entry fee is $10.00 PER ENTRY: Prize fund $7.00 and $3.00 for expenses. The prize fund will be returned 100%. Checks should be made payable to National 600 Bowling Club, Inc. Results will be posted on the website: www.national600.com If you would like a copy please send a stamped self addressed envelope along with your scores.

Starting August 1, 2014, the high score awards given to United States Bowling Congress adult members for a 300 game, 800 series or 900 series will become once-in-a-lifetime awards. This change comes as part of USBC’s strategy to focus resources on national governing body services. As part of the change to the high score awards program, any USBC member who received an award in one of the high score achievement categories as an adult prior to August 1, 2014, will not receive an award for that achievement again. The 11-in-a-row award also will be eliminated as part of the changes.
