More than 275 women bowlers from at least 16 different countries will take part in the 2011 U.S. Women’s Open. Qualifying and the rounds of 32 and 16 will be held from June 24-29, 2011, with stepladder finals on June 30, 2011. More on the 2011 U.S. Women’s Open can be found at the following sites:

The deadline to submit applications for positions on the 2012-13 United States Bowling Congress (National) Board of Directors and Youth Committee is Setpember 1, 2011. Applications for the USBC Board of Directors will be reviewed by a Nominating Committee; the committee will then recommend a slate of candidates to delegates ahead of the USBC Convention, scheduled for April 25-28, 2012 in Arlington, Texas. For the 2012 election, the Nominating Committee will slate up to two candidates for each of the four positions open for election. Candidates may also run from the floor. The process for nominations to the USBC Youth Committee will not change for 2012. That committee assists in promoting and governing youth components of the organization. Virginia State USBC 2011 Senior Tournament
It’s not too early to plan for the annual Virginia State Senior Tournament! This year the events will be hosted by Riverside Lanes in Danville, Virginia. The main events are the Open and Women’s Doubles & Singles events. Back by popular demand is the special Mixed Team event (does not count towards tournament all-events). Mail your entries early to get your desired shift(s)! Entry forms are available on our FORMS page; deadline is Friday, September 9, 2011.
