Standings after the first week of bowling in the 2010 1st Annual GRAUSBC Mixed Team / Mixed Doubles tournament are now available HERE.
REMINDER: The GRAUSBC 1st Annual Mixed Team Championship Tournament will be held on the weekends of November 13/14 and 20/21, 2010. All events will be held at the Vinton Bowling Center. Teams must consist of 2 men and 2 women; doubles must be 1 man and 1 woman. Entry forms are available at all houses and under our FORMS page; deadline is November 10, 2010.
Christine Brightwell Decker, 90, of Roanoke, Va., died on Thursday, November 4, 2010, at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital. She served many years on the Roanoke Women’s Bowling Association and was inducted into the Association’s Hall of Fame in 1991. She was employed as an accountant for 17 years at All Star Lanes before retiring in 1983. The family suggests that memorials may be made to Melrose Baptist Church, 3520 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, Va. 24019. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010, at Melrose Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Sprouse officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Oakey’s North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
