2010 Virginia State USBC Youth Championship Tournament

The 45th Annual Virginia State USBC Youth Championship 2010 Tournament will be held during June and July. Team Event will be at Vinton Bowling Center and Doubles & Singles will be at NRV Superbowl. Entry forms are available from our FORMS page. Entries will be accepted beginning March 15, 2010 and will close on April 15, 2010.

Kelly Kulick Makes History

Another Local Bowler Passes Away

June Darlene Sink Bailey, 67, of Wirtz, Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 21, 2009. June was an avid bowler and was the 1992 Virginia Women’s State All Events Champion, and she also loved her trips to Ocean Lakes Campground. But above all else she loved her family and always tried to put their needs before her own.

USBC Extends Open Championship Entry Deadline

Two more Hall of Fame Members Pass On

Richard D. Brenner, 59, of Vinton, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2009. He was born in Nellingen, Germany on December 22, 1949, and was proud to become a citizen of the United States of America on July 4, 1975. Richard never met a stranger and enjoyed NASCAR, bowling and being with his friends and family. He was also proud to be a past master of the Vinton Masonic Lodge # 204. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel, 2 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009. Interment with Masonic rites by the Vinton Masonic Lodge # 204 will be in Evergreen Burial Park. The Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday December 11, 2009 at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel.

Lewis Albert Creasy, 92, died on Monday, November 9, 2009, at his Roanoke home. He was born on February 21, 1917, the sixth of seven children of John Will and Theodocia Creasy, and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1935. An employee of the Norfolk and Western Railway for 44 years, Lewis retired in 1979 as assistant to the general manager, Eastern Region. Those wishing to honor Lewis’ memory might consider a donation to Calvary Baptist Church, the Calvary Baptist Foundation, the Southwestern Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank or the Hunger Relief Ministry Society of St. Andrew.
