December 2010 Ann St. Hilaire Results

The results from the third Ann St. Hilaire Youth Traveling Scholarship Tournament of the season have been received. The tournament was held at Vinton Bowling Center on December 5, 2010. The results can be viewed HERE. The next tournament will be January 2, 2011 at Rocky Mount Bowling Center.

Chris Decker, RVWBA Hall of Famer, Passes Away

Christine Brightwell Decker, 90, of Roanoke, Va., died on Thursday, November 4, 2010, at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital. She served many years on the Roanoke Women’s Bowling Association and was inducted into the Association’s Hall of Fame in 1991. She was employed as an accountant for 17 years at All Star Lanes before retiring in 1983. The family suggests that memorials may be made to Melrose Baptist Church, 3520 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, Va. 24019. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010, at Melrose Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Sprouse officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Oakey’s North Chapel, 540-362-1237.

Reminder – Virginia State USBC 600 Bowling Club Tournament

The entry form for the Virginia State 600 Bowling Club Annual Tournament is available from the 600 Club Facebook page and under the “Tournaments” section of our FORMS page. Any woman that has ever rolled a 600 series is eligible to bowl. This year the tournament is in Farmville, Virginia and entries close October 6, 2010. Pass the information on, and hope to see everyone there!
